God’s most powerful expression of His love was the sacrifice of His precious Son so that people from every tribe, ethnic group, and nation could live forever. By His death and resurrection, everyone who puts their trust in Jesus is set free from the iron grip of sin and death. This is the greatest truth of all time.
Today, we set aside time to specifically remember those across the centuries who’ve expressed their love for country, family, friends, and complete strangers through the sacrifice of their lives. Throughout the generations since our nation’s birth, God has raised up men and women willing to answer the call and make the sacrifice for our freedom, security, peace, and prosperity. In this, they blessed not only those they carried with them in their hearts, but millions upon millions they would never meet. Take time to reflect and be grateful for the countless sacrifices that have made you free. Resolve to use your freedom well for the blessing of others.
