“He who observes the wind will not sow,
and he who regards the clouds will not reap.”
– Ecclesiastes 11:4
There’s no such thing as “the perfect time”. If you spend your life watching and waiting for the perfect time to act, you’ll never act. You’ll always be able to talk yourself out of action as you wait for a more perfect time. You’ll always be able to imagine a better day, even if that day will never actually come.
If you know what God has commanded and called you to do, do it! Make disciples. Love your neighbors. Serve the Lord. If you know something is good to do, do it! Certainly it’s appropriate to act wisely based on current conditions. But know that you’ll never actually feel prepared enough, ready enough, or safe enough. Not for things that matter in life, love, or the Lord. Faith is required. Trust that God will be with you, even if you fail or fall flat on your face.
Don’t be a fool but realize that a life wasted through cautious disobedience is also foolish! It’s never the wrong time to obey God. It’s never the wrong time to answer His call. It’s never the wrong time to live by faith and not by sight. #FollowJesus
